the point where dreams meet the possibility of realizing them
Unity and Merging of Boundaries & Introspection and Awareness:
The Point of Unity is a large interactive light art object that creates the impression of a point of unity between heaven and earth, man and nature, the present and the future.
This is a “space for silence, awareness, and interaction” that encourages self-reflection and being “here and now.” The installation invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself.he main goal is to explore the connection between heaven and earth, people and nature, the present and the future. The design of the installation creates the illusion of hovering between earth and sky, and at night allows you to feel like you are among the stars, as if “the boundary between earth and space has disappeared.
Light as a Metaphor:
«Ideas are always connected with the sky, with space. When we dream or ponder, we raise our eyes upwards, as if drawing inspiration from the clouds. I perceive light as a sacred phenomenon, a metaphysical, three-dimensional substance that shapes space and the meaning of life.» — Mykola Kabluka, ukrainian artist, lighting designer, author of the installation ‘The Point of Infinity’.
Diplomatic Mission of Ukraine:
Our message to the world is that Ukrainians continue to dream and act, create and look to the sky with hope despite all the challenges of war, despite all the pain and loss. Ukrainian art is proof that freedom is not only about struggle, but also about creation.
Two worlds in one work:
During the day: mirrors reflect the blue sky, moving clouds and sunlight, creating an oasis in the desert and the illusion of heaven on earth.
Evening: the mirrored surface forms a boundless starry space around visitors and gives the feeling that you can «touch the stars».
Everyone who enters The Point of Unity is invited to become part of the installation: to touch the mirrored surfaces, feel the dynamics of light and shadow, and immerse themselves in the space of sound and silence. This is an installation that you perceive with your whole body — through sight, touch, and hearing, discovering new dimensions of your own presence.
The sculpture is complemented by a specially designed soundtrack that emotionally immerses visitors and deepens their thoughts about space, dreams, destiny, and the role of humans in the world.
To enhance the feeling of connection with the universe, a meditative mathematical-cosmic soundtrack has been developed, based on the astronomical parameters of the Solar System and encoded mathematical algorithms.
The distance between the Earth and the Sun (~149.6 million km) determines the base note (136.1 Hz, or the tone of Om), which is the basis for meditation and background tonality.
The Earth's rotation around its axis (24 hours) sets the tempo of the music (60 BPM), symbolizing the “breathing” of the composition.
The Moon's orbit around the Earth (27.3 days) influences the slow build-up of layers of music, creating a 27-bar structure and a slow rhythmic wave.
The mass of the Sun (in Earth masses, ~333,000) determines the dynamics of the sound, where the amplitude corresponds to the force of gravity, expressed in volume, intensity, pressure, and power of the sound.
The solar activity cycle is transformed into a slow evolution of timbre, filter changes, overtone morphing, and spectral modulation.
Stars (Sirius, Polaris, Vega) with their spectra and luminosity are transformed into elements of resonant timbres and overtones in music.
